V1 of LLL Has been released!
This Game was fun to work on, but I wish I'd been more speedier in my development of it.
I started a bit late when I was first making this project, I started on the functionality first as so the gameplay wasn't hampered by any bugs that could make the game unplayable.
I Worked hard on the main concept of the game, and I think It reflects that as much as a Jr indie Game dev's game can be.
However one problem I faced during development was forgetting to properly finish the other aspects of the game, like design, and replayability, and Some of the gizmos that go into making what makes a good level good.
Near the end it was just a mad dash to finish the game without making sure that everything worked 100%
And to those who played, or are planning to play the first build of the game I apologize for some of the bugs that present themselves, I'll try and Iron them out as much as I can and present you with a better working game in the future.
All In all though I loved making this game into a reality, especially I loved animating Leon and his walking and running animations. It was, in fact, one of the first things I worked on after the main concept was functional. The Implementation of the walk to run animation I loved working on that and seeing how good it turns out, definitely one of the highlights of the development process.
working on the base functionality too was also a lot of fun though I realized that you should definitely have a plan for levels before you invest all your time into it lol.
TL;DR: Level design is just as important as base functionality, don't procrastinate (but also don't overwork yourself), fix game breaking bugs earlier in development (most likely when your designing levels), and last but not least, Make Things CUTE!
